When Oak Trees Were Kings

The Oak trees have new leaves. Spring is officially here. We have always been surrounded by Oak trees and they are a wonderful inspiration. Here below is a 100 year old tree.

Here is my version of an Oak Tree. I painted this during the first two years I was in Umbria. The painting was originally titled “When Big Trees Were Kings”. It later became known as “Martin’s Cat” after our friend’s cat who was so wild I only saw him in photographs!
