The Painting, the Carpenter and the Wardrobe

It took a village to make this, which just goes to prove how artistic collaboration can bring about wonderfully different perspectives and objects.

My friend wanted to have some of my Umbrian panels on her wardrobe. I supplied the photographs of the original paintings; an architect designed the wardrobe; the carpenter built it; and the printer printed out the paintings on a plastic-coated material, and then attached the panels to the wooden wardrobe.

I love the idea of making the paintings as large as the wardrobe. The original painted panels are only 92cm (36 in) x 24cm (9.5 in).
