Spring Trees

More Spring views and paintings. A little bit of an ode to Hockney as the landscape becomes inspiration. Among the hundreds of shades of green are the poplar trees emerging from the forests and fields making a statement of shape and form and design.

Poplar Trees at Caiporri

My daughter says that my poplars remind her of cypress tress, but in the Upper Tiber Valley where we are in Umbria, the poplar trees are what we are surrounded by. Whatever the tree, the greens are majestic this time of year. Here is a painting from a while back.
