Venice Fish Columns

Traveling is always a way for me to find new ideas and see things out of context.

On my last trip to Venice I found these fish columns at the Venice Fish Market and was inspired by the way designs fit into other objects. Like a 3D collage, everything is mixed together, adding layer upon layer.

Then I went home and painted fish as though they were part of a tapestry of colours and designs.
